Light Pollution
Her parents discuss a growing concern
of light pollution
and the child, dismayed and confused, leaves
searching for a solution
but one must determine the problem first
Less than eight years old,
she walks outside to think.
Passing by are a few cars,
red and yellow blink,
but blinking neon does not help her now...
She ponders,
thinks of careless aliens
disposing of aluminum.
The trash will pour down.
She thinks, rather tries to think
of some
Some way to combat
this alien pollution
but alas, her thoughts
provide no solution...
