As RPM Challenge approaches, I try to not use up all my creativity, as proved by the poor grammatical structural-y-ness of this blog, as well as by the overused "-y-ness" suffix...
Anywho, the blog will instead be coverage of making my RPM Challenge record over the next month for the most part, although an occasional "Verisimilitude" may arise.

Rpm And A Place-Holder
Howdy once again...
I now realize that we are only a few days away from February, thus only a few days before the beginning of RPM Challenge. (un-enthusiastic gasp) You don't know of the RPM Challenge?
Last year, I participated under the moniker Zane And No-one Else, and recorded the album "February"... It was a really great experience, and I'm looking forward to it alot this year.
More to come on that over the next few days, but for now I changed the blog layout for a little bit (Thus, the placeholder in the title...)

Hello for the 21st time!
I realize that I have not updated this in near a week, but I haven't exactly had access to a fully-functioning internet connection. Although I doubt anyone other than Jay and maybe two other people actually read this blog, I apologize profusely to anyone who might enjoy getting a "daily spoonful of ZAHIB" every morning...
That sounds like a terrible slogan for an equally horrible breakfast cereal. I warn all of you reading to stay away from it if you ever see it.
Anywho, I've decided to put blogs up from all the days I missed, plus a few extra to show you what I've been working on.

Weird Upon Posting.
Hey there, everybody!
Upon posting this blog originally, it appears that it says this was published on Saturday the 12th, whereas in reality it was posted roughly sometime late on the night of Friday the 11th. Just thought you should know, this still is a daily blog...
Anywhoo, back to the actual update:
Things I started today:
1. Reading Richard Bachman's "The Regulators". Free CD to the first person to name the author's actual name!
2. A new song, entitled "How the Archaeologist Longs For A Countryside of Color"...It is the result of some weird drawing I did. I'll put it up here on Sunday probably.
3. New video montage of roads. Up by next Wednesday at the latest...

Tentativ-ity

Here are several songs that will be tossed around as potential album tracks over the coming weeks:
1. Light Pollution (a child's experiences upon discovering aforementioned phrase)
2. Egotistic Astronauts in the Infinite Void of Space
3. Bizarre De-Evolution of the Mercury Fetus (MOVEMENTS 1 through 3)
I've been working on Light Pollution since sometime this summer, in Virginia. I wrote the original music on solo acoustic guitar, and then wrote the lyrics while passing through three or four states. Shortly after that, it changed from a down-tempo solo guitar thingy to an up-tempo, more cheery thingy... I'm pretty sure it's going to wind up on the record as a loud, fast...song...thing...
Egotistic Astronauts in the Infinite Void of Space is a title for a song I came up with mid-last year. When I did finally write the music for it, it was sort of rushed and didn't come out that great, so I metaphorically threw it out, if you will (I will). I had not brought it back as a song until yesterday, after several months of decaying in the decayed cave of decave-ity... The music is now completely different, as are the lyrics, but alas, the title remains the same.
Mercury Fetus is a song I recorded (poorly) over the summer by myself, but I believe it will work out better with the band.
I apologize for a fairly/extremely boring/just plain annoying update today.

First day of the New Year, and thus the first day of making Verisimilitude. Just to let you know, this blog will be written from the perspective of me (Zane) unless otherwise noted... I wrote several new songs today, and recorded a demo. Possibly I will upload it tomorrow, but it sounds really terribly produced. I did, however, also take some photos of the first day in making the record, and here they are:
